If you can't find a cub-22 mower, you're not lookin very hard. They're a dime a dozen. Modifying any other sickle mower to work with a Cub will be WAY more work than driving even a few hundred miles to pick one up. If I recall a Cub PTO spins 1800 RPM- I may be wrong here. And they spin the wrong direction. Search Craigslist and used equipment auctions. You'll find the right machine, for probly $200 or less.
