We do a lot of loader work with our 2755 and lets just say the opperators are not usually Dad or myself. We have done the clutch twice in the last 8 years. I believe we used the organic clutch material this last time - well maybe it was ceramic, can't remember(someone here can correct me), but it was the more grabby and of the two. It has held up much better than the first job. The only part I got from Deere this time was the ring gear (not clutch related but as the tractor was split it was time to go). I took the clutch plates to a clutch specialist place. They did all the rebuilding and resurfacing etc. Throw out and piolet were off the shelf and much cheaper than the first time when we got it from JD. This is grabby and jerky but solid. Keep the clutch set up accordingly - off hand an inch of petal play. Easy to set up with the treaded likage.
Maybe its just the type of clutch you have too. Our 6300 is much smoother, but it is also a shuttle so the clutch isn't used as much.
Now if I could just keep the batteries and starter from dieing. This tractor must start 15-20 times a day and run for 3 min at a time. Not enough to keep it charged and hard on the starter (and ring gear over the years).
