I could be wrong here, but I think the 350 and 450 models can not have ANY either as it breaks the top ring, and then they will not start without either. It was on this site or the JD, or dozer section within the last two years. My son has a 350, and I showed him the article about not using either in those models.
I kind of recal if they have a turbo, they probably have the better rings though.
