Okay, people who see a red light and dont even slow down are one thing, but these stupid cameras will get people who fly under a light a second after it turns red.
For instance, you're coming up on an intersection. The light is green. You're a little ways from the intersection, and it turns yellow. You know that you should probably stop, but it would be a hard slam on the brakes. You're in a hurry. Theres someone right on your tailgate who is liable to rear end you if you stop. You're loaded way down and you're afraid of stopping a few feet inside of the intersection. Whatever the reason, you either gun it or just roll through and the light flips to red a quarter of a second before it disappears over the roof of your vehicle.
Did you technically just run a red light? Yes Was it a better alternative to slamming on the brakes, possibly making someone rear end you, etc, I think so.
I think we've all done it. Its bad, but it happens, and I dont think anyone should get a ticket for it. Its like driving a couple miles over the speed limit.
