So true. When I was getting ready to build our new shop, I had Carter do one of their plans. I looked at it and nothing was to code. I questioned the salesman and he stated that they didn't know code, they just use the computer to put together a plan so they could sell material. The materials list was also short on several items. It was easier to draw it up myself and do the take offs and fax the materials list to 3 suppliers. My final materials costs was about 20% higher that Carters, but that included everything that I needed.
