Another thing I have found reading about pole barn kits in the farm advertising papers in my area is that they generally quote truss, stud spacing, etc. much greater then you would probably be happy with along with light weight thin sheet metal with little paint life warrenties. Be careful what you sign up too and make sure you understand what you are actually getting from whoever you select and read all fine print. Like noted in my prior post I have never used one of those "low ball" farm building builders who advertise "unbelieveable" prices. My step son is a custom home builder in this area and he says he can't buy the materials for what they advertise for an eracted building. Something is probably in the "hazy background" with some of these folks and you are doing the correct homework before selecting someone, Hal.

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery.
