Hi Greg, Did the tractor ever start after cooling off? Your radiator may have the fins blocked with dirt and hay. The radiator may need to be rodded. If you get it started hold your hand on the radiator to see if it gets hot all over. You can resleeve the engine by dropping the pan and removing the head unless the crankshaft needs machining. Then I would pull the engine. I should've had that 9-ft sickle bar when I was growing up. Good Luck, Hal PS: Do a lot of checking before tearing into the engine.,
