If the motor is running worse since you've had the carb apart, that is a good place to start. Unless the gaskets are torn, they should be okay to reuse. It seems like anytime I take the main jet apart, a crumb of the packing gets loose and plugs something up. Does your sediment bowl have a good screen in it ? If so, what is in the bowl ? It should collect most, if not all, the water and dirt in the system. If you are getting water, try adding some gas drier. The first thing that I check when my H runs rough is the points, especially if it acts fuel related.
