Is the MF 398 4X4 ( late 1980s) a good tractor?

I have been looking for a 90 to 100 HP tractor for primary tillage on my small farm. I am considering a used MF 398 4x4 since I have a MF dealer close by me. It has low hours and a short over all lenght, what should I really look at and is this a good tractor for MF or was it problematic?
What price range should it be in if it is in good condition? Has anybody used one with first hand knowledge of this tractor's issues? Thanks for your opinions.
