BLW........there are 2-variants of 8N steering gear boxes. Early one is fairly obvious pipe plug. Later 8N steering gearbox is "secret". Remove the righthand aft battery sheetmetal bolt to the steering gearbox and there is a HOLE down at the bottom of the bolthole. You doubt? Probe with a piece of bailin' wire.
Recommend 2-tubes of sticky corn-head grease from John Deere 'stedda' 90wt gear oil fer either gearbox. Gear oil leaks, corn grease doesn't. You will haffta make an adapter to fit the gearbox and grease gun. This is sumptin' enny clever shadetree mechanic can do.
As fer yer TO-20. I believe its the same tranny splash-lube design of the 9N/2N as Harry "borrowed" the drawings from Henry. NO GREASE for TO-20, just check yer hydro-tranny oil level dipstick behind yer right heel (5-gals). Simple, eh? .......Dell
