When I did it if the crop was ready and the dew was off we ran! Problems with a machine was fixed now! One pace we were in was really dusty and we would drive the combines to the farmers home place every night when it got too tuff to continue. Then IN the moring besides fuilling up, greasing and checking oil we blew out the rads and filters every morning! The bine I was running lost an alternator about noon one day. I shut down all the electrical while to boss ran to the JD dealers and got a replacement. I kept running untill just before dark when he had me stop and we replaced it and I was going again. Wasn't a big problem and nothing to get excited about. Only lost about 1/2 hour of field time. Only real excitement all summer was a couple of days running with only 2 trucks cause a driver quit.
