I hope I don't get this thread road killed for you but, about 30 years ago I was driving a 25 ton truck mounted crane from Alabama to Utah. I was driving on the out skirts of Memphis when a cat ran across the road in front of me. The truck at 85000# doesn't exactly stop on a dime so cat gets squashed. There was a police officer saw me and pulled me over. He made me go door to door to see who owned the cat. He said I had to make it right with the owner before he would let me go on. He followed me as I went door to door. I went to this nice little old ladies house and asked her if she had a cat. She said she did have a grey cat. I told her that the officer wanted me to make it right before I could go. She said she wasn't sure if it was her cat or not. I told her I didn't care that I just needed her to tell the officer that it was ok so I could go. I gave her $10 for the cat. As I was walking away the officer arrested the lady for selling pu??y on the street.
