This afternoon on the way home from church, we were following an older couple from our church in the right hand lane of a 4 lane divided highway. I guess we were about a quarter mile behind them or so. Then I see a creature run across the road in front of them. At first I thought it might be a dog, then perhaps a fox. Then I realized it was a coyote. I guess it changed its mind and tried to run back in front of the our neighbors vehicle, but stopped. When they passed, it made a dash for the side of the road. It almost made it, too. I whacked it with the front right tire of the Suburban we were driving. I know some on here don't really like coyotes, and truth be known, I don't really think much of them either. Still, I can't help feeling just a little bad about the whole thing.
