I used to worry about the chevy oil pressure all over the place till I saw a new one doing it with multigrade oil. After that and talking about it on tractor forums, it's the way it works on some engines. Some have an oversupply pump and they run it into a pressure relief valve most all the time so the difference in pressure at idle and up and cold and hot is not much different. Other thing I read about chevys is that high oil pressure puts a load on the distributor shaft as it has to run the oil pump and recommended against it....like you would get if you put straight 40 in the engine.
