My wife met a woman through her work, business associate. This woman's husband was in a bad moto-cross wreck several years ago and broke his neck. He is a quadraplegic. He has very limited movement of his arms, no hand coordination really. In a wheelchair. After thinking about this I can remember everyone I have known that has done this "sport" has gotten injured, severely. 1. The guy I just mentioned 2. A buddy of mine whose 11 year old son got a broken arm due to being run over on a track. 3. Old boss that broke his leg 3 times while riding. 3 different times. 4. Neighbors friend that broke his ankle while riding a dirt-bike, not on a race track. 5. A guy that used to work at a place I was at 20 years ago. He ran into a tree while riding a dirt bike, massive head injury and he died on the way to the hospital.
Be careful out there if you ride a dirt bike or your son does. Flying off a bike going 35mph and getting slammed on the trail is painful, possibly causing permanent damage or death.
