Ya'll know how something will change so gradually you don't even notice the change?
Our house is 13 years old, and originally had all single hung, dual pane windows. After they were about 5-6 years old, the windows began losing their seals and fogging up inside, but by then they were out of warranty so we kinda spaced it off, and with curtains and blinds anyway it was easy to ignore.
We finally bit the bullet and over the last couple of days had every window in the house replaced with new double hung dual panes.
I can't believe how much brighter it is in the house, plus easy to see out. Like I said above, the change in the old windows was so gradual we hardly noticed.
