Called the fert coop on Friday just to say hi, hadn't talked to them in a long while.
Mentioned I do have a 25 acre field that they could spread, but that's too small for them to goof with, I was just checking how things might look for Sunday.
He said you have 25 acres fit, we have a rig near you, can be there as soon as we get it pulled out of the field it is stuck in.....
So I got that planted today.
Checked some other fields at sundown, boy they are sticky spots, just tough to call them in and then they get stuck, makes a mess. Might check again in the morning, see if the bigger field dried up a bit over nite.
The 25 acres they could spread and I planted today I had pattern tiled 2 years ago, that was one of my worst wettest fields. The power of tile!
Saw a few neighbors get going this afternoon. Think we are running over any wet spots and mush it any as we can. Not going to be a particularly good seedbed - ideal conditions type of year.
