Has anybody else here in mid Michigan been approached about leasing for gas and oil? There's been a guy trying to get ahold of me for six weeks or better. My brother called me and said he had dropped off a contract for him too,wanted to know what I was going to do. The guy finally caught up with me today. I figured it was one of those $1 an acre a year for 10 years things like I've always signed before. This guy was offering a one time payment,up front of $12,000 for five years with an option for another five years for another $12,000. Said he'd be back in a few days with a lease and a check.
