I need to get a battery or two for my 1755. I posted a week or more ago, and got a lot of good information. The manual I have says I need two 6 volt batteries in series. I was given a lot of advice, and have a few more questions. First, I was at Tractor Supply and saw their Exide batteries, two 6 volts. There is a 12 volt there the same size as two 6 volts stuck together. What is the advantage of the two 6 volts over the 12 volt beside 30 more CCA? (850 CCA for two 6 volt and 820 for one 12 volt). Or is there an advantage?
Also, many have said to have good cables, good connections. Is there a special cable for series hookup? All I can find so far is the ones with a post connection on one end and a tab on the other, for going over a bolt on the starter or the ground or whatever.
