If it will not release, find a good log chain and a tree. Hook the chain up to the tree, back the tractor up to the end of the chain, put the tractor in low gear about 1000 RPM for you and with the clutch petal down it will pop loose. If that is not what you are trying to tell us, take that cover off and inspect the parts. Have not looked at a 35 clutch in probably 40-45 years, but easy to do.
