OK, you mentioned Nazi occupation and fountain pens. I have some great trivia. Hitler had contracted a French designer to develop a fountain pen for his personal use. The designer came up with a beautiful pen that came to be the Mont Blanc (white mountain)company. It was and still is very recognizable by its logo, the top of a mountain on the top of the pen. What Hitler didn't know, was the French designer was a Jew and he sublimely put the Star of David on the top and said it was a mountain top. Hitler carried around a fountain pen with the Star of David on it.
