David g doesn't look like you have been an employer, I have, the taxes get paid to them to the ssn number reported. If you get checked out and they aren't paid you get your but in a big jam! I didnt hire any Spanish speaking people. They did not want to work as hard as we did. I now deal with them on a daily basis. They do get illegal tax refunds, a lot of the illegals have their wages garnished by their coyote, that way the coyote gets his fee for delivering them north of the border. I'm not sure if that is tied into the phony ssi numbers.
