Wasn't a sale ad as such but an auction bill that got me. Had 6 or 7 tractors on it with 2 I was interested in. The sale bill listed most as running and field ready with 2 non runners and the bill specifically said "engines free". Got to the auction and each tractor had a sheet of printer paper taped to it listing problems. 2 of the tractors actually ran. One an IH 856 that bill claimed as field ready had "tranny issues". The other runner was also a "field ready" tractor, AC CA. That one said one cylinder low compression and that it jumped out of 2nd and 3rd gear. 3 of the tractors the engines were frozen. I did not stay for the sale and will not attend that auctioneers sales. At least it was only a half an hour drive.
