Just thought I'd say hi, I'm Ryan, in Iowa. I just bought my first tractor a 1960 Ford 801 powermaster with a woods brush cutter for $2500 (2 hour away delivery to my house also included). I hope I did ok on that price, it has a few issues I will try to figure out with the search function here before I post much.
Should I post questions about this tractor in the 8N/9N section or the Ford section?
Issues I've found so far are that it will only run on full choke, the guy said once it warms up it is better. But no better so far. Hopefully just a fuel issue, or rebuild carb.
One rear rim is rusted a bunch, other a little. Still hold air but barely I'm sure. Brand new rim is $200 so not bad, but may try to find a used one.
One front bearing is likley bad, has a whole bunch of slop and grease coming out of it, and wobbles when I shake the wheel.
