I went to Walmart last night then to the movie theater to see a film. I was blown away by the general rudeness of people, and this is Minnesota where we are supposedly known for being "nice". From poor and reckless drivers, people leaving carts anywhere and everywhere, making cracks to the Walmart greeter, messing up shelves and leaving store merchandise all over, being rude to workers, bringing in pop and treats to the movie not purchased there, talking in the movie, cell phones going off, feet on seats, etc , etc. I am astounded by how careless people have become. Not to mention how everyone is wearing sweat pants or other dumpy such clothes. Almost no one smiles or has any normal inter personal contact. The worst was after , I stopped at a gas station for some milk to bring home and 2 young gals were disrespecting the guy working the register. Now , they thought they were pretty , and they thought he was a throw away human because he wasn't. One of them threw a crumpled up and wet dollar at him and said, "there , that's for you ". She looked at me and saw the look on my face and said "whats your problem old man ? " ( I am 50 ) I stared at her as intensely as I could and said " Wow, are you ever ugly ". They of course started to taunt and tease me with the most vulgar language they could muster...then sped off in a crappy old car with middle fingers flying. I feel for my kids , and the world they are going to inherit.
