A buddy of mine once got a $500 bill in some dealings. They're kinda like $2 bills. They're legit, but there aren't too many around. Thousand dollar bills are more common.
Any way, this buddy of mine went to a race at Talladega, and went to a bank in the small town of Talladega to break the $500 bill for smaller bills. He went into the bank and asked the cashier to break it into smaller bills. The cashier took off for the rear of the bank and the other bank employees gathered around her. My buddy became afraid there was something wrong.
Upshot was, no one in the bank had seen a $500 bill before. The cashier gave my pal smaller bills, and they were still looking at the $500 bill when he left.
