Points are EI they both suffer from the same issues. Your basic test are the same "who'da" thunk it. The problem with EI is you can not visually see it, its not mechanical like a set of contacts but you can test it. The test can vary a little from contacts but its still a basic test.
When you call Pertronix they lead you thru basic test who'da thunk it. For the DIY guy coils and condensers are the hardest to confirm a kill on. A coil can check good and still be bad :evil: Points are EI it makes no difference. Its basics not opinions :!:
