I've never done any scholarly work, but know Oliver used a wide variety of engines, primarily Waukesha early on, maybe after 1930. But originally Hart & Parr had developed their own engine design, in the predecessor to Oliver. Which brands had their own in-house designed & produced engines? I am no mechanic at all, but John Deere 2-cyl and Minneapolis-Moline semed to have unique designs. Massey used Perkins quite a bit I think. Appreciate your knowledge.
