We have a female GSD for 6 years or so. Go her as a pup and wife held her in her arms the 4 hour trip home. Guess who's dog she is? I am only first when no body else is around. Wife took ours to all kinds of puppy training schools and I think it paid off. I has been said they are not the best at any one thing but are second best at a whole bunch of things. I think they are great dogs but DO train it, lots.
