Edge programmers do not eliminate any emmissions components on the truck, so it really should not pollute more than normal. Which also is the reason edge does not sell as many programmers as they used to. If your truck is a diesel, EFI live with emissions delete tuning would give much more performance and economy gains. This is speaking from experience on my 2013 Duramax. 30 horse improved stock is much more responsive. I have not been brave enough to try the 200 horse over tune yet.
