While I agree with your atempt to silence the color war, if you are really an engineer with a modern tractor manufacturer, you should be ashamed. I know you are not directly responsible but...newer tractors are being made more and more flimsy. I saw a BRAND NEW JD with the drawbar support BENT after pulling a 10 shank chisel one time around a 24 acre field. It was made from approx 1/4 steel, cheap cheap cheap! Like every thing you buy new today, quality is going downhill. Seems that these things are made to be disposable in 5 years, just like new cars and trucks. Look at all the tractors that were built proior to 1975. Look how many are in use today. Compare that in 10 years to the number of today's tractors and you will see a big difference, the junk yards are gonna be overstocked. If John Deere would build the 4020 again to the EXACT specs and add a cab, they couldn't build them fast enough. Same for the IH 806, 826, 856 etc etc etc. They won't because they know they would last too long. I am glad that I am fanatic about OLD tractors. I have Red, Green and Prairie Gold and I love them all.

The answer to our needs materialized in the form of a '44 Farmall A, complete with cultivators, discs, single plow, a 5ft.Woods belly mower and one, mounted spare 9.00x24 rear wheel.
