Actually Clem, there is apparently still one of those rascals in use here in western Canada. It is owned and operated by the Basilian Fathers which is a church-based religious order not too far away from here and they still use it. It takes the whole lot of them to operate it though, one fellow on the steering joystick, another monitoring the LCD readout for coolant temperature, etc. Absolutely no ground compaction since of course it operates like a Hoovercraft on a blanket of air. I think the downfall of the whole operation was the lack of a suitaable wet bar in the hallway, at least that was one complaint from this local group here that still has one. I think it had a serial number of "2" if I remember correctly.
