That little gray and red tractors is an 8N. Identifiable at a distance by the design of the rear wheels. The front mounted coil and distributor further identify it as an early 8N as the distributor was moved to the right side of the engine in 1950 which required the generator to be moved to the left side. This one appears to have no generator on the left side, also the oil filter had to be moved back a little bit to make room for the generator. This tractor is a '48, '49 or an early '50. The 8N was the last of the N series. 9N came first in 1939, then the 2N in 1942 and finally the 8N in 1948 although they started making the 8N in July of 1947.
