No, there was not a felt seal in it when I got the tractor. The cover doesn’t have a lip to stop the rubber seal. So I drove it back to the same spot as the one removed. I ordered a rubber seal from yesterdays tractor yesterday but in the meantime I got one from the parts store. It fits the cover and the pulley very nice. The one I removed was a Victor seal, looks old, but I’m sure an aftermarket. You might be right on the thickness of the felt and the thickness of the rubber seal being thicker. I just did not want to cram the felt in there and maybe even shove the rubber seal out of place. I’ll try and measure the gaps and go from there. I’ll try and take some pictures this weekend and get them posted. Thank you for the help.
