I have a MF 275 we purchased new in spring of 1977. The power steering barely works below 3/4 throttle. I replaced the seals in the pump, but that did not seem to help. I have been told that the power steering pump failure was one of the most common problems of these tractors. Has anyone had any success rebuilding these pumps? I have seen ads listed for replacement pumps, but they required the replacement of lines/fittings. The local AGCO dealer quoted $750 for a replacement pump, but that just did not sound right. I would appreciate any input. The old girl has been shedded since new and I would estimate the hours to be around 4500. I would like to see her back in service. I am posting on the MF forum as well.
