I dont know about this pump but on a big truck I would say it has a valve stuck or wore out someplace.I once went to school on big truck power steering and this doesnt sound like its a lot different. There were a couple of companies that made pumps for big trucks like Peterbuilt,Freightliner,Kenworth,Volvo. They all used the same pump maybe the mounting holes were different or something like that.So maybe they made the pump?I think Goss or something like that was the name of one of the companys. Now a long time ago I was working on a Marmon cabover and got a steering box from a Massey Fergusen combine I think it was to replace it.Thats what made me think that somebody else made that pump.If you find that out for sure go to Freightliner and just give them the number of the pump and tell them you want a rebuild kit for it or a replacement pump,if you find out they have it should be able to save a lot of money as Freightliner buys stuff like that by the truckload and parts are a bunch cheaper that way.Might be worth a try.
