I have an 8N tractor and am trying to find the serial number or the year the tractor was built. There is a flat area on the block just behind the oil filter but if there were numbers on there they have been ground off. The only numbers I see on the block anywhere is on the housing that holds the starter. It just has an N then a space and then the numbers 219 and under that a couple of inches is 8N. Some thing like what you see below.

Could the N 219 be the serial number or is there another place it could be located?
