Uncle was one of a crew of four that manned a LCPR(troop landing craft) in the south pacific.Craft was hit by a shell, killed everyone on board except my Uncle who lost his hearing. He was just a kid at the time.He was never the same after that...got in trouble,in and out of prison. What kept him going was his tremendous artistic talent. He had an art gallery and sold his art.I have one of his paintings that he did while in prison.Picture is called nature's crown and is stunning. He loved to fish and in his later years him and I spent a lot of time in a fishing boat.He was in his sixties then and I was twenty something.Got to know him pretty well.
