one thing that you might consider is your insurance rates and coverages for residential vs agricultural. talk to your insurance agent. you might find out that the difference in premiums and the difference in coverage (they won't be the same) may not be worth the hassle of getting the property re-zoned. don't know for sure, but i'd check it out.
