D, i have a 32 ft. crusier with twin 300c.in. 170hp engines, mercrusier out drives, check and see if the solenoid is mounted on a bracket in front of the tilt moter and pump, right under the solenoid is a plug with a red, green and blue wire, this plug pulls out and why it is made this way i have no idea, but the wires are bad to corroid or break here and the wire that feeds out the back of this plug feeds the power to the solenoid for the starter, check this and also you will have a safty switch in the lower unit of the out drive that keeps you from starting the engine if the out drive is raised above the gimble housing. i have a complet set of parts and shop manuals for these units, let me know what you need and will try to help. charles
