4x4 tractors

I would like to hear any comments about 4 wd tractors verses 2 wd.
I am looking at an Oliver 1325 w/Fiat diesel. And a Long 560 w/UTB diesel.
Both are 4x4s. Anyone had any experiences??
What are your comments on a compact tractor compared to a full size?
Some have said that a heavier 2 wd model will do as much work as a compact 4x4 model.
