Well Bob is correct if you are working on their "green" environmental engine, your`s however isn`t one of them and doesn`t set timeing with a pin. What you do need to do is to make certain the edge of the pump where it bolts to the front cover will have what looks like a chisel mark on it. There will also be a similar chisel type mark on the back side of the timng cover. Those two lines must line up. Loosen the three nuts and rotate the pump to align them if they are not. Tighten the nuts and try it.
