Additives...any real benefit?

The fuel thread got me to thinking. I haven't seen mention here anyhting about any of the new fangled oil additives and the like we see for automotive use. Of course, this may have already been hashed out here many times over, and if so, please pardon me and let me know and we can get on with other things. Has anyone had any experience using things like "Slick50", "DuraOil" or any of the modern additives that are supposed to do miraculous things with your engines? I only have experience with "Slick50" that I used in a my old beater 3.5HP push mower (which gets heavily abused in the areas I can't drive my riding mower into). The old mower used to chuff and belch smoke and generally was a pain in the arse to start. After the Slick50 treatment, the thing starts on the second pull every time and it no longer smokes. Still, I have yet to talk myself into dumping this stuff into any of my trucks or cars. Just curious if anyone else has eny experience (good or bad) with modern additives in tractors?
