Took apart a neighbor's 350 chevy that he had constantly dumped STP additives in. Had thick goo all over inside the engine, terrible junk to try to clean out. I personally just go for good quality oil in most of my stuff. Case IH brand for most of the farm tractors, Rotella 15W-40 for my H and brother's Cummins pickup, and cheapo Wal-Mart oil in my car. Seriously can't tell the difference in my car, but I don't plan on having that for 40 years like my H. Steven
