In response to LeJos comments,obviously you have no knowledge of Deutz tractors whatsoever.I have 2 that I use on the farm and 2 that I pull all over the country.The farm tractors are a 1977 40-06 and a 1969 90-06,these are both used mercillously.You can run a 10 ft bush hog for 8 -10hrs,on 5gallons or less of fuel(no BS just fact)try that with a JD.As for parts,yes,the older tractors might have trouble finding some parts, but they usually dont need anything,just make sure the belt is good and blow out the cooling fins in the fall.
And as for pulling 1957 80-05 came in 6th place at Tunica ,MS "KING OF THE HILL" out of 60 plus big cube tractors,this thing is a stock 345 CI tractor!
The other is a 1972 130-06 , 450HP+,turning 3000-3500RPM,pulling in 10th gear(out of 12)very seldom beaten,while still retaining stock 345CI engine!
Bottom Line,they may be foreign,they may be ugly ,but DEUTZ tractors are tough SOBs!
As for the new series, they are just a SAME,with green paint,they are liquid cooled.Find an old 06 or 07 series,you can not beat them!
