A picture is everything, post a pic or email one. Is it forged, cast, or steel? Hammered out on an anvil or cold rolled? What is the diameter of the shaft? Are the end holes round or oblong? Any sarreted teeth on one or both ends? Obviously you would mention if any number stamping was on it... Sure sounds like you have a metal brace, but a picture would really help. I can see both of the other suggestions. --->Paul
