The problems are a combination of too much hydrogen production, lack of venting and an ignition source. A too high voltage on the regulator, low battery electrolyte level, a long hard charge on a low battery, lack of venting/airflow, high current either charging or discharging, vibration or really cheap batteries. Does this tractor get alot of start/stop duty and never really gets the battery charged? I see some cheapskates or tractors without parking brakes get stopped everytime the operator parks the tractor for a moment.
