JCB Backhoes- worth considering?

In my backhoe quest I have come across ads for a few JCB backhoes. I've never heard of this brand before. I have seen a few on local jobsites recently, but never noticed them before. They seem to fetch a lower price than comparable machines from JD, Case, Ford, etc. from what I've seen. Are they worth considering? I wonder about quality, ease of maintenance, parts availability, etc. I've not found anything about this company yet. Are they a new company, or did they buy some old tractor company, or what? What is the story on this comapny?
