I go along with this message. My wife is a small town girl, used to get ticked
at all those slow farmers hogging the road. Married her 4 years ago, now we drive down
the road & she comments on the neighbor's
crops, and did most of my heavy tillage last
fall. I suspect that a few clutches will need to be
rebuilt a little bit earlier, and I've use a welder
a bit on things like the harrow she kept pulling
after one hook unhooked.... And so on. You know, about like me when dad showed
me how to do stuff, and I put a little extra
stress on the equipment.... ;) Now, some folks just have no mechanical
interest whatsoever. If your wife is like that,
then write down what you want done, & have
her take that written order in with the service
call. Always ask for the 'old' parts. That would
be the only way to handle that. I know a few
guys that would have done worse than your
wife, so no issue on the sex. I would give the muffler shop heck on this, and
lots of demands. Guess I would walk in quietly
& give them time to sort it out, but I would be
leaving very loudly by the time the issue was
'done'. They do not deserve to be in business
when they take advantage of people. While
your wife gave the ok so they are not obligated
to do anything about it, they are obviously
taking advantage of people & I would not be
afraid to discuss that with others. I don't think my wife will ever quite understand
what 'feathering a clutch' means. Oh well, she
tries real hard, & the look on her face when a
field is done is priceless. :) --->Paul
