After 30 years I've decided to replace my Ford 2N with something newer; I want good brakes, power steering, full time hydraulics on a frame not much larger than my present tractor. I am seriously considering a Ford 3000 (gas) with a conventional gear transmission. It looks good with 3620 hours on engine (not rebuilt). I will pay a mechanic to check over compression, etc. The price is $6350 for this '69 tractor. I would appreciate advice from someone who knows Ford tractors on what I should watch for when buying this model tractor--special problems, etc associated with this model and size Ford. Thanks for any advice you can give. Chuck
